Can anyone help me purchase a ticket for the Monet exhibit. I don’t have a french E-Bleue carte and the website won’t accept my AMEX, Mastercard or Visa card.

I am truly excited about this exhibition after having read an article on this in today’s intl herald tribune. I live in bangladesh. My wife and i visited giverny, musee d’orsay, marmottan and l’orangerie several times and have fond memories of seeing most of the great paintings together. I have written quite a few articles in bengali in local magazines covering all these museums and monet’s great works. Look forward to visiting the exhibition in the first week of october. Will miss ms elizabeth murray’s talk, but hope to buy her book.

I just found your blog — via a search for the Monet exhibit at the Grand Palais — it looks wonderful and I look forward to exploring it further.

Thanks for pulling all this great info together in one place.

It’s also so cool Elizabeth Murray left a comment — I have a 1989 version of ‘Monet’s Passion’ on my bookshelf — I purchased it for my late husband who took many of his own wonderful photos at Giverny. We first visited in 1983, when Vernon station was a tiny, dusty place — the following year we had the same taxi driver (maybe only one in town back then!?) take us to Giverny. We returned with our young son ~ 1992 and were amazed at how it had grown in those years. Since then we’ve increased our time in Paris and environs and I can’t wait to return to Giverny in the near future – we will look into your B&B!
